Two More Deep Diving Conferences

Alongside the excellent, high-substance conferences we mentioned recently (Together 4 Adoption and Empowered to Connect), two additional upcoming events also touch on deep needs in a deep way.

Hope at Home: Get Connected with Real Families, Real Help, Real Hope! will be held in Atlanta, GA on Oct 5-6, 2012.  As the organizers describe, this conference complements other conferences by focusing on caregivers and parents—aiming to provide the refreshment, rest, relationships and practical advice we so often desperately need.  The website describes, “We expect that when you leave this one, you will feel you have less to do, rather than more….because You will be more aware of all the Lord is doing and wants to do for you and your children, and on your behalf!”

In addition, while it is a bit further off, I was excited to learn that the 2012 Tapestry Conference (October 26-27) will rich variety of new offerings that delve into vital topics often under-emphasized, including the perspective of adopted persons.  As always, this event promises to overflow with excellent tools, resources and perspectives for anyone touched by adoption or foster care, from birth parents and adoptees to adoptive families.
