Launched Intensive 2-Year Training Program to Empower Local Leaders as Coaches

We launched the second round of the Care Transition Accelerator Academy, a two-year program to train local coaches in more than a dozen nations around the world to help organizations transition from residential to family-based care. These leaders have completed almost 100 hours of classes and will complete a real-world practicum next year, coaching a residential program toward family care.

Uniting global networks to work better, together

The Global Network initiative unites and strengthens more than 50 locally-led and globally-informed networks of churches, NGOs and agencies within developing nations worldwide. These networks labor together to see every child in a loving family, embraced within a collaborative community.

Secondly, we collaborated with The Worship Initiative to create a brand new EP, Father to the Fatherless, designed to help congregations worship God and reflect on His heart for the vulnerable. Advocated for Wise, Effective Child Welfare Policies in DC

While CAFO’s primary focus will always be the work of the church, we will continue to advocate for wise, effective child welfare policies that welcome faith-based organizations. CAFO is currently involved in a number of DC-based policy entities, including the Bi-Partisan Policy Center’s Child Welfare Initiative, the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, and the American Enterprise Institute.
