This is your opportunity use your talents to build that same experience for consumers of a non profit. The National Foster Care Initiative is looking for a Marketing Consumer Experience intern.
• You will work closely with the National Foster Care Initiative National Director to develop the consumer experience for churches, ministries and individuals purchasing training and educational materials from a variety of sources: Amazon, direct, church ministry events, etc.
• Work closely with fulfillment website partners (ie; Amazon) to develop a “wow” consumer experience when materials are purchased, including fulfillment, shipping and reordering experience.
• Coordinate communication with key leaders and constituents regarding bulk orders, order fulfillment, and book release deadlines.
• Review quality of materials being shipped and help build process to automate shipping and quality control.

This Initiative unifies top academic OVC researchers with leaders of faith-based NGOs serving children around the world and developing evidence-based solutions. We provide practitioners with exposure to incisive research and new data, innovations and best practices in the field. We also empower researchers with a rare opportunity to directly strengthen frontline OVC care practices.
About the OVC Applied Research and Best Practice Internship:

Role: Animation & Video Design Internship
Description: The Global Network Initiative is empowering local churches to care for local orphans in every country. We equip local pastors and leaders to create networks that inspire adoption and fostering in their own local communities. Over the last three years we’ve engaged over 20,000 churches worldwide and have over 35 existing networks. Global Network Intern: Intro to Trauma Competent Care Animation
1. July-August Start Date (could potentially start in June to learn the Animation tool) This will continue through the Fall Semester
2. Create a series of 5-8 animated videos (about 5-minutes each) to cover a section of Trauma Competent Care material. The initial videos will be created using Caucasian characters and a recorded Master Script by an American voice(s) in English. The goal will be to develop the animated videos to easily switch out the characters for another culture (skin tone, dress, etc) and have Global Network volunteers from the regions record their own language for dubbing.
3. Develop consistent theme/format for animation for series.
4. Create first animated video (about 5 minutes) and work with CAFO team to review, adjust and define video style/parameters.
5. Once approved, work with a targeted region/network to create the same video for another context, documenting the process and key considerations.
6. Using the defined styles, parameters and lessons learned, develop master videos for each module, going through the approval cycle for each.
7. Once all videos are completed, proceed to modify the videos for the targeted culture, using their translated recordings.

Role: Global Network Intern: Pilot Translation/Contextualization of Global Resources
Description:Assist with coordination of translation/contextualization projects for Global Resources and Global Courses materials. As initiative leader identifies key materials for a pilot translation/contextualization project, this intern will help coordinate the process with Global Network leaders in several cultures. The process will include, but not be limited to: Interacting with the authors/publishers of the resources to gain documented approval for translation and publication as a joint project. Engaging with Global Network leaders and contextualization teams as they recruit translators and define the approval processes to contextualize the resources. Document current status of each resource within the project plan, and recommend updates as we develop a repeatable process for contextualization of resources. Working alongside initiative leader to define, test, evaluate and refine the contextualization process for CAFO Global Network resources.
