Local Empowerment
Local empowerment refers to the efforts that are carried out in order to develop the ability and independence of local individuals and communities as a whole to meet their needs. After all, who better to solve the challenges a local community faces than those who know are the most proximate to the potential and pitfalls they face each day? This course will equip you with the tools necessary to help your organization analyze its current programs in regard to local empowerment, assess the needs of the local community, and take small next-step opportunities which will have an immediate impact at the local community level.
