Amazima Ministries International

In 2008, we learned about an epidemic present in sub-Sahara Africa that still exists today. Oftentimes, parents and/or guardians are forced to give up their guardianship to orphanages simply because they’re unable to provide the most basic needs for their children: food, medical care, and education. We realized if we could support children and families by assisting with these basic needs, their families were more likely to stay intact. We started in 2008 by assisting 10 children, ensuring they remained in the care of their own families rather than in an orphanage. Today we serve upwards of 500 children. Though the programs have grown and evolved, our mission remains the same.
