Farmer Herman and the Flooding Barn
a children’s book inspired by the true story of 344 people in Nebraska who worked together to move a barn . . . illustrated by 344 people who care about kids in foster care
We Need Your Help!
We’ve written a children’s book to get the word out about kids in foster care and the National Foster Care Initiative. Our problem is that IT HAS NO PICTURES! Since it is a book about 344 people working together to get something big accomplished, we decided we should get 344 people to help us illustrate it (yes, really!!!).
That’s where you come in!
We need you to draw one character or object for the story. You don’t need to have artistic talent, just a passion for kids. All you need to do is draw something with a Sharpie using the downloadable drawing template below. We’ll color it in and it will look amazing! If your drawing is selected, it will be included in the final published version of the book! By the way, if you are thinking “I’m not a good enough artist for this” then we REALLY need you to click on the button below!
