Church to Church

Orphan Sunday for Kids!

ORGANIZATION: Alliance for Children Everywhere

CATEGORY: Church to Church

We will partner with your church to teach K-6 children to care for orphans through fun, interactive activities as part of a free curriculum. ACE works with indigenous Christian churches to bring orphans, abandoned children and pre-mature, high-risk infants into secure permanent families, and church communities. Since 1998, our focus has been in Zambia, Africa the nation that spawned Orphan Sunday.

WHAT THE LOCAL HOST DOES:

Implement this FREE five week children’s ministry curriculum (K-6) featuring videos with Zambian hosts 11-year-old Yande and 10-year-old Chete!.

Use the FREE DVD videos, hands-on activities and handouts with unique art work to strengthen key biblical truths of caring and sharing, which includes an opportunity to collect change for the children in Zambia and YOUR church’s outreach ministry to orphans.

During the 5 weeks that the children are learning about what the Bible teaches about caring and sharing, adults receive beautiful recaps of the lessons along with the accompanying art. At the end of the program, the children have been supported by the adults, and Orphan Sunday has come alive to the entire congregation through the entertaining and fun adventure of the program.

As a means of supporting the local participating church, ACE will contribute 30% of the revenue so that the church in turn may support its own orphan outreach programs. The project can either kick off on Orphan Sunday, or conclude on Orphan Sunday.

WHAT THE ORGANIZATION PARTNER DOES:

We will mail you the full kit with all the materials free of charge. At the end of the program there is an evaluation form to complete and return to ACE along with the donation; minus the 30% revenue sharing portion for your local church.

Church-wide Engagement

Forgotten Voice International

CATEGORY: Church to Church

Forgotten Voices International is Innovating Orphan Care through the local church. Our program offers you a direct partnership with a church in southern Africa that is leading the way in community-based orphan care. Together, you’ll come alongside vulnerable children by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of those orphaned by AIDS. Through prayer and financial support of a church partner’s orphan care ministry, your church can play a vital role in encouraging African church leaders, as well as raising awareness in your local community about the realities of orphaned children in our world. This is an amazing opportunity for the Global Church to come together to provide care for vulnerable children and mutually support, encourage and disciple one another!

WHAT THE LOCAL HOST DOES:

Your Orphan Sunday event can be designed to launch an ongoing partnership with a church in southern Africa or as a one-time partnership event.
