Arturo Barrientos is the Director of Development of Casa Viva Costa Rica. Born in Costa Rica to a missionary family he studied theology in England at the London School of Theology and subsequently served as a missionary in Spain for 8 years. Arturo returned to Costa Rica in 2000 y since then he has managed various initiatives for several organizations while pastoring. Today he is part of the pastoral team of his church and from his new position in Casa Viva he helps pastors and churches to get involved in foster care. Arturo and Evelyn, his wife of 25 years, do not have biological children; however, more than 4 years ago they became foster parents (through the Casa Viva Initiative). They have had the privileged to foster 5 children so far.
