SEE EXAMPLES BELOW:
CONTENT. All workshops should help the audience solve questions/problems important to them, with clear application steps.
FORMAT. For your workshop plan, you will be asked to map out a simple outline, including time allocated to each of four “Format” approaches. (You can use any one format or a blend, but workshops rich in interactive, experiential and planning elements will generally be prioritized).
- Lecture — Presentation by one or more experts, primarily informative. (NOTE: No more than 25% of workshops will be primarily in lecture format. For the best chance of having your proposal selected, build your learning experience primarily from the other three formats.)
- Interactive — Table discussion, problem solving, peer collective, Q&A, wiki sharing/ learning, etc
- Experiential— Highly active, involving participants in things like role play, creative activities, etc
- Create a Plan — Focused on helping participants map actionable steps; attendees “come away with a plan.”
