Families Count equips local churches to walk alongside parents seeking reunification or at risk of removal through a six-week, biblical parenting class that meets court requirements and provides supportive one-on-one mentor relationships to parents.

Family Preservation Model

A local model from Salty Family Services that helps churches reorient their existing benevolence efforts toward more strategic, relational support for families in crisis

At a Glance

Reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect begins with walking alongside families in their areas of greatest need. This Family Preservation Model equips churches to respond to families in their community using a three-part approach that assesses each family's needs and readiness, then connects them with trusted mentors. Through consistent in-home meetings, mentors build meaningful relationships and walk alongside families, offering emotional, practical, and spiritual support.

Safe Families connects overwhelmed parents with caring volunteers from local churches who offer support to help stabilize families and keep children safe at home. Volunteers can host children temporarily, build trusted friendships with parents, or provide coaching and advocacy to help families meet their goals.
