The Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) is thrilled to welcome Jimmy Moore as Director of Church Strengthening and Support. In this new role, Moore will work to significantly expand CAFO’s services and support for local churches across the US, helping local congregations start and grow effective adoption, foster care and global orphan ministries.
Moore joins CAFO following eight successful years as the President and CEO of The Children’s Home of Lubbock and Family Service Agency. Moore oversaw all aspects of the organization’s broad portfolio, including foster care and adoption, family strengthening, residential care, counseling and much more. Over the years, Moore’s work has centered on cultivating growth, health and faith in young lives – from high school principal to high school and college basketball coach, to university athletic director.
“I couldn’t be more glad or grateful that Jimmy is joining the CAFO team,” said CAFO President Jedd Medefind. “His marvelous gifts and character, professional skills, personal experiences, and vibrant faith add such vitality and strength to the CAFO team. Most of all, we’re all looking forward to the immense good he’ll bring to local churches near and far, ultimately to see God’s people more fully and fruitfully reflecting His love for vulnerable children and families.”
Moore will work closely with both CAFO’s Pure Religion Project and More than Enough leadership teams. Together, these efforts will continue to strengthen and grow the effective engagement of Christians across the US in local foster care, adoption, mentoring and family strengthening, as well as well-informed support for ministry to children and families worldwide.
