At the first “Orphan Summit” in 2004, 38 Christian leaders expressed a shared sense of God’s desire to rouse His Church to care for orphaned children and kids in foster care. They heard what He was asking of them – “leave your egos and competition at the door. Join in unified efforts.”
What started as a small group of 38 leaders in 2004 quickly grew to more than 500 in just three years as more organizations set their competitive spirits aside and joined together for one cause: to care for orphaned and vulnerable children around the world.
Today, CAFO unites more than 250 respected organizations and a global network of 800+ churches. Each one looks to CAFO to provide critical resources, training, and ongoing support to help them care for millions of vulnerable children and families every year.
Together, we share a vision to see God’s people overflowing with His love so that every child will also experience His unfailing love in a thriving family.
