SURVEY METHODS

You have multiple options to conduct surveys that will encourage honest and complete feedback from the leaders and advocates in your network.
  • WhatsApp Survey Series

    • This is a series of shorter surveys (10 or less questions at a time) using WhatsApp messages. There will be one round of questions each week sent to your participants over a 3-week period.

  • Web-based Online Survey

    • The same survey questions are available via a web-based survey. Participants will go to the link and answer all of the questions at one time.

  • Paper Forms - not recommended

    • CAFO may offer networks a paper form to print out and have participants complete while gathered together. Networks are required to transpose all written survey responses onto a provided Excel spreadsheet to send to CAFO. This process takes extra time, introduces errors into the data (by typing responses), and removes the anonymous element of feedback (which may result in an inaccurate assessment), so it is not recommended as an ideal method.

Your Network Assessment Target Responses

How many responses do you expect for our survey? Don't worry - this is just to give you and CAFO an expectation of the amount of data we will process. Once all surveys are received, we may calculate a percentage of participation for each area. A valid and accurate network assessment will gather feedback from at least 30% of your member churches, organizations and advocates.
How many people are on your network's leadership team? This may include Board members and other key leaders.
How many people do you expect to survey from among your membership? This may include leaders, advocates, and volunteers of member churches, organizations, agencies, etc.
