Social Worker

Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Social Worker in the Decatur area. This position will be responsible for the delivery of case management services to children and families in our foster care program. Some responsibilities include recruiting, licensing, training, and supervising foster homes; coordinating intake, orientation, and admission of children/families; assessing information about children’s developmental/family history; evaluating the progress of children/families in care and foster families; manage transfers and discharge processes; represent the ABCH & FM’s vision, mission to groups, individuals, and referring agencies in a professional and objective manner; teach TIPS classes as required; and more.

Applicants much have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Applicants must be license eligible or have a current license to practice Social Work issued by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners.

Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
