*Issue Focused Working Group (Supporter and Champion)
Issue-Focused Working Groups: A member of the church’s leadership team is requested to serve on one of three working groups (adoption, foster or global orphan care). Each group will address one critical issue together annually — framing the challenge and identifying best-in-class practices and resources for effective response and ministry application.
**NCMI Advisory Team (Champion Gold Only)
NCMI Advisory Team: The senior ministry team leader (or pastoral staff member) is requested to serve on the NCMI Advisory Team, designed to confer on the current state and direction of the movement. This commitment will include one in-person meeting of the full team at Summit (Spring) and one leader-to-leader phone call by each member (Fall) with Jason Johnson, Director of CAFO’s Church Ministry Initiative.

OVC Essentials provides an experience of shared learning, critical and foundational knowledge, and personal enrichment to interns, students, young leaders, and a variety of others at the start of their journey in caring for the orphan and vulnerable child. Our goal is to lay a foundation for lifelong service to vulnerable children – from professional work to volunteer ministry to family life – while allowing you to connect with others who share your passion.
