Inspiration and Resources for Advocates Serving Orphaned and Vulnerable Children

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” —Proverbs 31:8

Advocacy on behalf of vulnerable children and families brings unique challenges.

From issues of privacy and protection to complicated problems with various responses – we know how challenging it can be to serve in your role as a communicator and advocate.

That’s why we created the Champion Advocate program, an annual commitment for global advocates to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the wider issues affecting orphaned and vulnerable children, accompanied by a Biblical framework for how to communicate deeply-rooted truths into your rhythms of storytelling and communication.

Advocates.What

What is a Champion Advocate?

CAFO Champion Advocates exist to grow and guide the global movement of Christians working together to be God’s answer, through the local church, to care for orphans, vulnerable children and families.

Monthly Resources and Training

Advocates receive monthly resources and quarterly training from CAFO leaders on topics ranging from ethical storytelling and presentation skills, to social media best practices and communicating about Biblical themes in relation to orphan care, like hospitality, abundance, generosity and pure religion.

Spiritual Formation

We believe good fruit grows from deep roots. Advocates who are committed to spiritual formation will find a well of resources to aid their growth by practicing new habits and rhythms each month.

Annual Commitment

Advocates commit to being in the program for the rest of the year and sharing some of the themes and content monthly in their spheres of influence. Advocates also receive free access to OVC Essentials, the Spiritual Formation Calendar or Church Ministry Essentials On Demand!
