At CAFO, we unite, strengthen and mobilize followers of Christ around the world to care for vulnerable children.

Children thrive in families.

We believe God designed each of us to grow up knowing the love and protection of a family. Scripture and science affirm that children thrive in the structure and stability of safe families. But in a world marred by brokenness and sin, not every child has this experience.

Some children are orphaned by the loss of one or both parents. Others cannot safely remain with their biological family. Regardless of circumstance, profound relational loss and vulnerability hurts children and families worldwide.

Global orphan statistics are inherently limited since they often underestimate the true number of orphans worldwide.

The term “double orphans” refers to children who have lost both parents.

That’s why we prioritize preserving, reuniting and expanding families to ensure children experience the transformative care of stable, nurturing relationships.
