Sometimes making changes in our organizations and in our families can feel a lot like wrangling goats. We worry before the changes even go into effect that they will bring anxiety and chaos - but it doesn't have to be that way. Leading people through changes doesn't have to feel like a guaranteed, chaotic, goat-rodeo.

Join us today for a conversation with Katie Casselberry, the Director of Communications for More Than Enough, about making changes - big and small - and helping the people around us embrace them.

Then, to help us all gain a little perspective on what it looks like for a state department to make changes, we talk with Gina Meier-Hummel.  Gina formerly served as the Director of Children and Family Services in Kansas, and has been working on behalf of children and families for over 32 years. She has a lot to share about her experiences and shares ideas to encourage us as we come alongside child welfare workers in our own communities.

Resources and Guests

The words “NOT ENOUGH” are heard every day inside of our nation’s foster care system . . . Not enough resources. Not enough support. Not enough families.

But it doesn’t have to be that way where you live. If you were to find and effectively collaborate with the right people, your county could go from “not enough” to “more than enough.” This book will help you lay the essential groundwork to see that happen.

Until There’s More than Enough is a faith-based field guide for collaborative foster care transformation in your community. Gleaning from the experience of dozens of government, nonprofit, and faith leaders from across the country, Until There’s More than Enough represents a set of principles and practices that will help advocates, churches, and organizations in your community work together to transform foster care.

More than enough for kids and families before, during, and beyond foster care can happen where you live. Believe it’s possible. Do your part. Do it together.
