The program’s primary objectives are to raise awareness of and recruit families for waiting kids in foster care, as well as provide post-placement resources for adoptive families. In her role, Katie is able to live out her passion for helping children as she oversees implementation of these efforts.
Through Focus’ Wait No More conferences, Katie has had the privilege of working with orphan advocates nationwide to motivate believers to take action on behalf of orphans and vulnerable children globally. To date, nearly 2,000 families have started the process of adoption from foster care.
Katie often speaks on adoption and orphan-care-related topics at conferences throughout the country, including the Life & Justice Conference, The Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit and several local church events.
