Children who grow up as the biological children in foster, adoptive or kinship families are often overlooked in research and policy. Yet their experiences are deeply shaped by these family systems and have implications for personal well-being. This study explores what they see as the most meaningful and most difficult parts of growing up in these homes across six countries.
