Passion for Orphans Continues to Grow in the Ukrainian Church

By Jedd Medefind on March 2, 2013

It’s been breathtaking to see the way God is stirring hearts in the church in Ukraine for local adoption and orphan care.

As previously described, last month more than 500 Ukrainian, Russian and other believers from the region gathered in Kiev, to explore how to continue growing a vision for care for orphans within the local church.

Below is a compelling news report on the Eastern European Summit.  Alongside regional leaders like Ruslan, it features vibrant American leaders who are working to help support the brothers and sisters in Ukraine—including Paul Pennington of Hope for Orphans and Wes Stafford of Compassion International.

(See a brief interview with the founder of Ukraine Without Orphans, Ruslan Maliuta, HERE and get a glimpse the amazing things that happened in Ukraine the past two Orphan Sundays HERE.)

In a word, THIS is what we mean when we say that our ultimate prayers it that the local church in every nation will ultimately be known as the primary answer for the orphans in its midst!
