The Foster Care Prayer Journal contains 30 entries designed to help you pray with others for foster care where you live. Each entry includes a quote or scripture, a reflection question, some prayer prompts, and a space for you to note people, requests, and prayer that God has answered. Peter Mutabazi is an author, keynote speaker, and nationally recognized advocate for children and families impacted by foster care. After leaving an abusive home at the age of ten, Peter lived on the streets in his native Uganda for five years, an experience that profoundly shaped his perspective on resilience, survival, and hope. The unexpected kindness of a stranger, who simply asked Peter his name, ultimately changed the trajectory of his life and inspired his lifelong commitment to ensuring that every child is seen and valued.  The author of two books, Peter shares his personal journey in Now I Am Known and in Love Does NOT Conquer All he shares the lessons he’s learned as a foster parent.  Since becoming a foster dad in 2017 Peter has welcomed over 47 children into his home and adopted 4.  He is also the founder of the Now I Am Known Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting foster youth and families through education and resources to ensure that all children feel seen and heard.

Stacey Glass is driven by a deep, personal mission to support vulnerable children and families.  Born to young parents during a time of uncertainty, her early life was marked by pain, resilience, and the quiet strength of a mother doing her best. Having experienced foster care alongside her sister, Stacey understands firsthand the challenges of reunification and the hardships that can follow. Her journey has shaped her compassionate and steadfast commitment to helping others navigate similar paths.

Stacey has worked at Church of the City since 2018 and is currently the Village Director, a role that channels her passion into tangible support for the vulnerable. Under her leadership, support for foster families has grown by 170% in just three years, now reaching over 45 families and mobilizing more than 500 volunteers. Stacey has implemented replicable policies and processes that empower other churches to enter the foster care space with clarity and confidence. She finds great joy in equipping volunteers and walking alongside families, offering encouragement and support every step of the way.

Laura Hutfless co-founded FlyteVu in 2015 following a 15 year career as a Talent agent at WME and CAA respectively. Under her leadership, FlyteVu has created culture-shifting campaigns earning an Emmy, a GRAMMY, multiple Clio Awards, and a spot on the Cannes Lions shortlist. The agency’s growth and impact have earned it spots on Adweek’s Fastest Growing Agencies List, Inc. 5000’s List of Fastest Growing Private Companies, and Chief Marketer’s Top 200 Marketing Agencies List.

She has been recognized on Chief Marketer’s Top Women in Marketing, Billboard Power Player, and Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence. She’s spoken at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women’s Summit and NextGen Summit, Advertising Week, Billboard Touring Conference, and Who Knew: Women Who Rock.

After experiencing the unexpected loss of a loved one due to substance abuse as a result of trauma, Laura’s philanthropic efforts focused on mental health, substance abuse disorder, addiction, and trauma. Together with The Onsite Foundation, Laura helped develop and launch a first-of-its-kind trauma-informed therapeutic program called “Triumph Over Tragedy” that provides tools, support, and a safe community for survivors of mass shootings . Laura recently served as President of the Board of Directors for The Onsite Foundation.

In 2020, FlyteVu launched the FlyteVu Fund, a donor-advised fund to expand the agency’s mission to give back to community. FlyteVu has donated more than $1.225 Million to various charities since the agency's inception in 2015.

Her flight suit is usually covered in crayon from her 4-year-old daughter, the most chaotic and adorable FlyteVu art director.
